First Day of School

Wednesday, September 6th.
I have been talking about Meaghan going to school for two years. How much she needed it, how much I wanted it. Finally the day has come. Daniel gets the wagon ready for Paisley since she's too small to walk. Meaghan gets her new cowboy boots on for her special day. Off we go. It's a walk we have taken with Daniel for two years now but we still get the daily question, "are we walking today". She hates to walk. We arrive and find Dan's name on the far door, Mrs. Kennedy this year. He's happy with that because she gets pets in the classroom. A little harder to find Meaghan's name. She's at the other end of the school. She is in the Primary/Grade 1 split class. Mr's Locke. That's the teacher Dan was suppose to have last year but she took Maternity leave. I hear she's good. I hope she's good, for Meaghan's sake. I worry.
So here we are in line waiting for the teacher to take them in. the moment we have been waiting for. I've waited for. I'm really happy. Really. But wait, I'm feeling sad too. I'm going to cry. Oh my, there goes another one of my babies.
I take the wagon handle and Paisley chirps to me "mama, I wa mo ju". Ok baby, I can do that. Home we go. We'll be back at 2:15 to get them.
